Meet Anthony - Resident Chef Tutor

Meet Anthony - Resident Chef Tutor
Meet Chef Anthony who joined the Leeds Cookery School team in 2021. If you are a MasterChef fan you may recognise Anthony because he got to the 2018 semi-finals where he famously introduced the judges to the Chicken Parmo!
After reaching the semi-finals of BBC’s MasterChef, Anthony decided a career in the food industry was for him so he moved to Leeds and undertook restaurant training before working as a sous chef.
Anthony enjoyed the buzz of the kitchen but he wanted a job which combined his love for food and also his want to give back to the community and equip people with cookery skills. He left life in the restaurant and joined Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food in 2019 where he taught 8 week cookery skills courses as a Resident Chef. He valued his role at the Ministry of Food but he wanted the opportunity to teach baking and world foods, something he is extremely passionate about so he came to work for Leeds Cookery School.
Anthony now divides his time between the cookery school and community food projects. He recently developed and set up “Get families cooking” which is a project that encourages families to cook together and learn how to cook meals from scratch.
Anthony is a much loved and valued member of the Leeds Cookery School team because not only is he a highly skilled and knowledgeable baker his teaching style is true to his nature – funny, calm and down to earth.
