Best-selling cook book author Dan Toombes (popularly known as The Curry Guy) teaches authentic British-Indian style cookery. You will learn how to make a Tandoori Masala Spice Blend, marinate tandoori chicken make a naan dough and three curry house style dishes which will include chicken tikka masala, chicken korma and paneer jalfrezi.

Techniques you will learn:

  • Learn how to make the mother curry sauce which will be used in the three different curries,
  • the techniques used to prepare the perfect tandoori spice blend and how to marinade to achieve maximum flavour penetration,
  • Dan teaches you how to cook tandoori chicken in a mini tandoor you can make at home to recreate those smoky charcoal flavours
  • How to make the dough for an amazing stovetop naan

What you can take home

There is a tasting session after each class where you have the chance to sample the tutor’s version of each dish. You will also take home a selection of the curries made in the session. 

Please note that you do not need to bring any equipment or ingredients with you as this will be provided by the cookery school and is included in the cost. You will however need to bring a couple of sizeable (minimum 1L) food storage containers to take your food home in.
