The Fish Pie has landed on the shores of Leeds Cookery School. The perfect family meal is a celebration of what our fabulous coastal heritage has to offer!
Techniques you will learn:
- All your fears will be laid to rest as resident chef Wayne Clarke will bring out the chef in you with a hands on demonstration of how to fillet a fish, make a béchamel sauce, how to nurture your ingredients to help bring the whole thing together.
- Wayne learned his craft in the restaurants and bakeries in and around Leeds. He has also taught cookery at Jamie’s Ministry of Food and is now the resident chef at Leeds Cookery School.
In this class the recipes below, including ingredients list and method, are provided for you to take home to add to your repertoire so you can keep on cooking them time and time again.
- Bechamel sauce
- White wine cream sauce
- Creamy mashed potato topping
- Fish Pie
What you can take home:
There is a tasting session after each class where you have the chance to sample the tutor’s version of each dish. You will also take home a Great British Fish Pie!
Please note that you do not need to bring any equipment or ingredients with you as this will be provided by the cookery school and is included in the cost. You will however need to bring a couple of sizeable (minimum 1L) food storage containers to take your food home in.
