Join the Resident Chefs at Leeds Cookery School for a day of Christmas baking! Students will learn about and make traditional Mince Pies and Yule Log. The kids will love making these recipes… and the grown ups will love eating them!

Techniques you will learn:

  • How to make a Genoise Sponge and how to roll, fill and decorate to make a fantastic Yule Log.
  • How to make and roll sweet shortcrust pasty and mince pies with different toppings.

Recipes:

Full recipes including ingredients list and method are provided for you to take home to add to your repertoire so you can keep on cooking them time and time again.

  • Mince Pies
  • Yule Log

What you can take home:

There is a tasting session after each class where you have the chance to sample the tutor’s version of each dish. Students will take all of their festive goodies home, so don’t forget to bring some sizeable containers to transport food home in.

Please note that students do not need to bring any equipment or ingredients as this will be provided by the cookery school and is included in the cost.

Refreshments are provided throughout on all of our classes.
