About this experience
In this fun, hands-on class, our chefs will show you how to make beautiful doughnuts, fillings and icing. You’ll learn all the techniques needed to recreate these at home, from preparing the batter to deep frying and decorating.
You’ll go home with a box of doughnuts to show off to your friends and family!
This class is aimed at people over 16 years old as there are some technical skills and deep fat frying which are not suitable for small children.
Techniques you will learn:
- You will learn how to make dough for doughnuts which is light and airy.
- Our chefs will show you how to make a wonderful crème patissiere.
- Shaping, frying, dipping, filling and icing doughnuts.
In this class the recipes below, including ingredients list and method, are provided for you to take home to add to your repertoire so you can keep on cooking them time and time again.
- Basic Dough
- Nutella Doughnuts
- Classic Jam Doughnuts
- Custard Doughnuts
- Lemon Curd with Lemon Icing Doughnuts
What you can take home
There is a tasting session after each class where you have the chance to sample the tutor’s version of each dish. You will also take home everything that you’ve made.
We provide all equipment and ingredients.
We use induction hobs at the cookery school so if you have a pacemaker fitted please get in contact with us when you have booked to let us know so we can adapt our equipment to meet your needs.
Refreshments are provided throughout, on all of our classes.
