About this experience

Join Freda Shafi in her Healthy Indian Street Food class and learn how to cook traditional Indian dishes but with a healthy twist. 

Techniques you will learn:

  • Learn about Indian street food culture.

  • Learn about traditional samosa fillings.  

  • Learn about traditional chickpea chaats. 

  • Learn how to expertly fold and stick a samosa together.

  • Learn how to make a traditional masala spice blend.


Full recipes, including ingredients list and method, are provided for you to take home to add to your repertoire so you can keep on cooking them time and time again.

What you can take home:

There is a tasting session after each class where you have the chance to sample the tutor's version of each dish. You'll eat some of the food you make in the class but you will have enough left over to take home as well.

Please note that you will need to bring a couple of sizeable (minimum 1L) food storage containers to take your food home in, we will provide all other equipment and ingredients.

Tea and coffee are provided throughout on all of our classes.
